Well, oddly I ended up right behind him at an intersection several miles away and noted his plate. But I didn’t write it down and I’ve since forgotten it. I figured even if I reported him nothing would come of it.
Why would you think that? I have a feeling that the state highway patrol takes these kinds of things seriously.
My assumption is that it would be his word against mine, plus how much good would it do in a large city to report this one truck which would just disappear (except for being right in front of me at the intersection later!).
Thats fucking crazy.
Nope, nah, no, nyet.
Rule #1 for calling the cops–if there ain’t no witnesses, don’t bother. The cop doesn’t care. No witness = never happened.
I never, ever think of the children unless they’re bouncing off the hood of my car. Usually, the mother is screaming so loudly that I don’t even see them.
Sorry not have posted after starting this thread but I started a new job and have been traveling all over.
But I was just telling this story tonight and mentioned to the person once the cop at the barracks heard it was a ratchet and not a gunshot that shattered my window, he didn’t even leave the building to look at my car, which was parked right near (like 25 feet from) the front door–he just glanced out the window at it.
The attitude was like “what do you want me to do about it?”
Thanks to all who are glad I’m OK–I realize it could have ended much worse.
Still, what an asshole.
Me, or the cop?
Sorry, not you.
I actually meant the guy who threw th ratchet. I wasn’t all that suprised by the cop’s indifference.
Just wanna share a road rage story you guys might enjoy.
Recently someone I knew had to get in the left lane of 4 lane road in town, because they had to make a left turn. This turn would NOT be a light and they didnt know exactly where it was. So, somebody behind them gets all road ragey on em for not doing 65 in a 45 zone, with it eventually being Mr. Road Rage getting just to the right of them and honking the horn, yelling, and giving them the finger.
Well, Mr. Rage quite flipping the finger about the moment he rear ended somebody in the right lane making a right hand turn (also not a light)
