Roasted almonds and cholesterol benefit

I once read almonds are a good way to boost HDL(good) cholesterol while lowering LDL(bad) cholesterol. Since I have high cholesterol I have made them a daily snack. Needless to say this story totally freaked me out. I have had several munchies session where I practically down a big bag. Luckily I am hear today to talk about it.

I will make the switch to the roasted variety and limit my binges. But the big question is, will roasting take away the Cholesterol benefit?

People often remark to me that cyanide has the smell of bitter almonds, to which I reply, “No, bitter almonds have the smell of cyanide.”

Get a sniff of CN some day and you’ll see what I mean. Kids: don’t try this at home.
