I’ll admit it. I watch Northern Exposure when I get home from work. (I tape it, watch it, rewind and tape the next episode over it.)
After Rob Morrow left (he was raising a stink about his salary, and suddenly his character is banished to an Indian village) the show seemed to take a dive. I think that it was the last season. I thought at the time that he threw away a good thing. It was a successful series and I think he killed it by asking for more money. A (very) quick search shows that he’s done a few things since the show ended, but who’s really heard of Rob Morrow lately? On the other hand, the show lasted six seasons and how much longer could it have gone on anyway?
The worst thing was that I could no longer look at Maggie O’Connel.
The last thing I remember Rob Morrow doing was the (IMHO) highly overrated film Quiz Show. Not only did I not like the film, but I didn’t like Morrow in it especially. What was with that accent?
Gotta back you up on Quiz Show, Crunchy. At the time, the critics were nuts for it. They spoke of it like Ralph Finnes was the second coming. I saw it in the theatres and it kind of sucked. What the hell was up with Morrow’s eyebrows?
But, back to the OP, I have no idea where he’s gotten off to.
Northern Exposure was my all time favorite show, even more favorite than Get a Life (which is my close second) so I was absolutely crushed when Doctor Joel left. :::: Although I have the collection of video tapes and record it from the satelite dish, I am still in mourning that there will never, ever, ever, be new episodes. ::::
I heard in an interview with. . . . um. . . . what’s his real name. . . . um. . . . . anyway, the guy who played Maurice, say that the set for Northern Exposure was dismantled, destroyed, sold, or recycled for other sets, so even if all actors agree to return (they won’t) and the network agrees to put it back in the line up (they won’t), Cicely, Alaska is gone (yes, Roslyn, Washington is still there). ::::
So, as much as I loved Doctor Joel, I can’t feel too sorry for Rob Morrow and his lack of a career.

Hasn’t really done a whole lot of things, as you can see…
also, at one time he was engaged to an actress named ‘Debbon Ayer’… can you say ‘stage name’?
God, I LOVED Northern Exposure. I used to watch it with my dad, and when I returned from my year in Prague I found he’d taped every single episode for me.
I haven’t seen Rob Morrow in anything lately, but I like the fellow and wouldn’t mind seeing him on screen.
To hijack: Remember the episode where Ed is afraid that RuthAnn is going to die so he buys her a grave on this beautiful spot of land? At the end, they dance on it, while the camera pans up and shows mountains and trees. That is my favorite TV moment ever, I think, and I’ve never forgotten it.
I probably should go flame the crap out of someone now so I don’t get a reputation as a total sap. (sniff)
Wouldn’t that be the Late McLean Stephenson? Sounds like a cool act. Wayne comes out in surgical scrubs, with the body of McLean and recreates classic OR scenes from MAS*H.
