Robert Blake Not Guilty, says jury

BARETTA FOUND NOT GUILTY OF MURDER. Or so says drudgereport.com. That is all.

I haven’t followed this too closely, but isn’t the consensus that he didn’t kill her himself, but he may very well have arranged it? So acquitting him of actually committing it doesn’t seem too shocking.

Yep, it’s on Court TV. Damn, maybe he didn’t do it, but he sure is a creepy little dude.

It’s a great day for jus… umm… it’s ummm … it’s… March 16th, 2005… ya… what?

They acquitted him of that too.

Now he can go on a search for the real killer.

Really??

So she must’ve tripped and fallen onto a bullet then. Much the same way as Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman fell (several times) onto a knife.

I haven’t been following Blake’s trial closely, but this surprises me. Does anyone know: (1) why it took four years to go to trial, and (2) what the testimony was, if any, about his “alibi” – that he went back into the restaurant to retrieve his gun. That right there was suspicious to me. I mean, what’d he do, take the gun from his pocket and put it on the table or an empty chair? No one saw the gun? No one saw him return for it?

I haven’t been following Blake’s trial either, but if it took them four years to file charges, then the evidence couldn’t have been all that strong.

He was found not guilt on 2 counts. There was another count-deadlocked. The judge asked what the numbers were on that-it was 11-1. What was that other charge?

The second of the solicitation charges.

Sycorax, California is notorious for long drawn-out cases, especially high profile ones. Not only does the trial take forever, the pre-trial hearings are extremely extensive.
