Keith in Southern Comfort. I don’t how well it holds up but I really enjoyed it at the time:

Well, there was an episode of CBS Afternoon Playhouse called Revenge of the Nerd which aired the year before (1983). Though it was totally unrelated to the later film franchise. I think it just had a similar name by coincidence.
IMDb: CBS Afternoon Playhouse “Revenge of the Nerd”
Also, on Wikipedia:
I was 5 years old when that episode aired, almost 6, and I remember seeing it on TV. When the film Revenge of the Nerds came out the following year, I was sure they were related somehow. It wasn’t until years later, when I was old enough to actually watch the movies (on cable) that I figured out they had nothing to do with each other.
Hmm, that whole episode is available for viewing here, if anyone is curious:
I do not recommend it, as it was made for TV in 1983 and geared toward teens on CBS. Keep your expectations very low.
Same here! He doesn’t look like the others.
The Last Booger
The Rise of Skolnick
Which sounds like it should be a sequel to The Nerd.
Update..
Looks like he might have commit suicide.
He was in the hospital and he was found with a rope around his neck.
This was never a question. From the 3rd post in this thread.
Definitely. David died similarly, though with David it was autoerotic asphyxiation.
Very sad for both of them.
Sounds like a glamorous life to be raised in a Hollywood family but he had a fucked up childhood. When his parents got divorced, during their custody battle, he was made a ward of the court and put in a home for abused children. (Along with Keith, David was 21 at the time) His father got full custody and he didn’t see his mother for 8 years and didn’t even know who she was. He thought his step mother was his mother until Keith told him the truth.
