No one has mentioned the Blasters yet?

I really dug BR549 when I saw them open for Brian Setzer Orchestra many moons ago. Not sure if they’re still around or what (would you believe I am too lazy to even look? yeesh…)

I guess it’s more punk country than rockabilly, but I gotta mention The Knitters, X’s country side project. They’ve got Dave Alvin and stand-up bassist Jonny Ray Bartel instead of Billy Zoom. They’re one of my favorite bands of all time.

Man, I love the Knitters.

X had a punkabilly side project?! O, frabjous day! I wee myself in anticipation.

I don’t know it it exactly qualifies as psychobilly, but I was listening to some Unknown Hinson over the weekend, and several of the tunes are some of the catchiest stuff I’ve heard in a while.
My earwig seems to be stuck on a shuffle between: I ain’t afriad of your husband baby, can I come over tonight/Your man is gay/I cleaned out a room in my trailer for you/I can’t believe you’re pregnant again…
