Hey, just calling it like I see it. If you produce something that tells us about how you see the world, it’s art in my book. The way you choose and manipulate models tells us about your aesthetics. Even with the fairly basic witch model, you place a lot of personality in it with the moon you created. Since I can compare it to how someone else painted the face, there’s also a subtlety to your painting on this model compared to the example the model maker provides. Somehow you made the witch look more surprised, less confident in the situation than the demo images. I don’t know if that was intentional, but it’s somehow more appealing to me.
And while I’m bloviating, I’ll pull out the slightest bit of art-school critique jerkwad on you. It’s not my favorite work of yours. My faves have been the Areial Dreadnought, the Steam Bison, the Squid Tank, and the Edwardian Aerial Housecar. From browsing your photobucket: damn, you make some nice hot rod sculptures.
