In a harkening-back-to-the-70’s-moment I just bought tickets to a local ZZ Top concert!
All of my music from that era was on vinyl and I’ll be damned if I can remember what album(s) I had. It must have been the pot.
I’d like to but a couple of CD’s to refresh my memory. I usually steer away from the “Best of…” CDs out there but I’m wondering if that may not be a good idea. Any suggestions?
They have a Greatest Hits that covers their earlier Tex-Mex up through their drum-track days. All fun and good - I happen to favor I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide * and Cheap Sunglasses*…
Billy and his infamous guitar, Pearly Gates, are held in super high regard as an example of great tone…
I bought Rancho Texicano, Tres Hombres, and Deguello. I’m hoping that several of the tracks on Eliminator are on the Rancho Texicano compilation. I got all three for a pretty good price on ebay so life is good.
