The AP is reporting Sunday that Roger Ebert had to have emergency surgery to repair a burst blood vessel from an earlier cancer operation.
Richard Roper told the Chicago Sun-Times that Ebert’s vital signs appear good.
I’m saddened to hear this. I enjoy his reviews and find them quite helpful.

Ebert gave a thumbs-down to the hospital’s meatloaf, calling it “tasteless and stale.” However, he gave a thumbs-up to the “spunky” Jell-O cup.
