Relative to today’s question “Did Glen Campbell play lead guitar on “Eight Miles High”?”, can anyone explain how Roger McGuinn got on Usenet to answer the original question in 1977 when Usenet was created in 1980?
If this information was actually added at a later date, I wish this were noted on the article.
It’s customary to add a link to the article in question, as articles get recycled from time to time and this keeps everyone on the same page. It’s as simple as cutting and pasting the URL, the board software will turn it into a link. Like this:

Yes, it would be great if all the columns were noted if things were edited, updated, modified, etc. Well, they got modified for a variety of reasons, from reediting before being published in books (books, what are those?) to getting posted on AOL. So those dates weren’t modified. It would be a bit of a chore to manually comment on every column now what was been previously retouched.
