Ah. Well, in his defence, he appears a little more reasonable and less dogmatic these days (although clearly he has niggled Sol somewhat).
bodswood agreed that the fossil record showed humans and all other modern birds and mammals only in the top few strata, representing only the most recent few million years. And yet he could not bring himself to believe that the reason we don’t find them in lower strata is because they weren’t there then.
I’d be interested in hearing whether roger still thinks that modern mammals somehow stopped their remains fossilising for all those billions of years.
