So, no one responded to this thread during the Great Outage. It was really lonely for the 3 hours that I seemed to be the only person logged onto the SDMB (before I too was thrown out). However, I found some friends over on the Straight Dopers group on Facebook, where we complained about not being able to waste time here,
Mighty suspicious that you were able to login and post when the rest of us were forced to visit the zoo. Just sayin’.

Seems like the SDMB Moderators should have a twitter account so someone can keep the world apprise of the SDMB status.
I tried searching facebook but couldn’t find anything with any update.
The error messages while trying to log in were just plain RUDE. You get once chance and if you fail you got to wait 15 minutes to try again.
Just wondering how a couple of people were able to log in during the outage. GILES I am looking at you!! 
Thought about creating a fuzzy sock, but only for a couple of seconds.

Ed, you got some ‘splainin’ to do.
Perhaps just people in North American time zones were thrown out, and the Great Outage forgot there were people walking upside down on the other side of the world.
Finally got back in, I could read posts and stuff but it would have been nice to have a sticky in the ATB forum when something goes amiss.
