Interestingly, the New Zealand and Australian winners are the first 1 and 4 respectively to wear their particular variants of the VC, since most Commonwealth states now have their own VCs to award separate from the British one.
Anyone who earns the VC has my automatic respect , I’d have expected a few more Second World War survivors though
On checking Wikipedia two of these died last year ,
