I have been trying to buy a rolling ladder for my study. The only place I found that has the brass hardware we want has also found it impossible to make for us, for reasons that are not clear. It has something to do with the curve of the tracks even though I have sent them blueprints, photos of the room, templates of the curves, and exact straight measurements. I have a carpenter to install it, and in fact he would be happy to build it from scratch if he could get the hardware. So two questions. First, does anyone know of a company other than Putnam that makes rolling ladders with all brass fixtures, or second, does anyone know of a place I could order the hardware myself, and let the carpenter do his thing.
