Rome 2.1: "Passover"

Salve! It’s back, and I’m excited. I rewatched Season 1 this week as it’s been playing on HBO, and I enjoyed it even more than the first time. The critics haven’t been too kind to this show compared to some of the others on HBO, but I think it’s right up there with “The Sopranos”. Maybe not quite there, but a notch or two above “Big Love”.

So, what will become of our heroes, Vorenus and Pullo? I’m sure they’ll manage to get tangled up in the big events. And, is Cleopatra’s child Caesar’s or Pullo’s? I think we are to assume it is Pullo’s.

8PM: Episode 12 of Season 1
9PM: Episode 1 of Season 2

Hi,

We really enjoyed the first episode of the new season- I’m just grateful there was a 2nd season. I really have come to enjoy Mark Anthony as much as Veronus and Pullo’s characters.

One thing I noticed in the (I think) last episode, was when Servilia was having Brutus’ blessed (or something) at the shrine- she asked the ancestors of the Julii (sp?) to bless his actions and that he was “of their blood”. I had heard that it was rumoured that Brutus was Caesar’s son, but the series didn’t play that up except for that one remark.

Brutus is of the Junii. Caesar was of the Julii.

Hi,

Ok, thanks- I must have misheard her and just realized there already is another Rome thread…my bad …
