I’m sure that he/she’s not saying that. Who on earth would do that 2 days before a presidential election???
Even if they were holding the crowd prisoner, who the fuck cares?
So in other words I was correct.
Thanks.
Hitler! And there were way too few portapotties at Nuremberg too
Since we’re doing idle Romney gossip, one of the Facebooky things going around was two pictures from that [del]campaign event[/del] storm relief event in Ohio purporting to show that people dropping off the goods (whether self-brought or provided) had to wait 45 minutes until Mitt showed up before being allowed to progress to the table to drop them off. I honestly didn’t care enough to fact check it (and I don’t share stuff like that I haven’t verified) because frankly it was trivial even if true and didn’t change my opinion of the man either way, but it seemed vaguely relevant here.
So there ya go.
Not even if you got to keep the hook, line and sinker?
Seriously, who believes this shit?
No, I think that the fact that she posted the actual facts when they became available will overcome her initial “shoot from the hip” reaction.
She did not double down on the stupid, which is certainly what others have done this election season.
Thank God there is only one more day of this hyperbole and chicken little nonsense.
Yes indeed. Just look at how quickly the hyperpartisan rhetoric stopped after the last election.
Except we may not know. Nate Silver has the effectiveness of voter suppression at about one to two percent, which may be enough. Pretty much exactly what they had in mind, figuring they wouldn’t need more. Now, if Romney wins, we won’t know what the real truth might have been. If Obama wins, we will know, because he “beats the spread”.
The horror. The horror.
“Loopy-leftie?” What? The US barely even has a political Left, and Congressman Kucinich is hardly objectively “loopy.” I might apply that label to Bob Avakian.
This is one of the more disturbing debaucheries of the American Right. They don’t know how far to the Right the US political discourse has shifted, and how the Democrats (who would be considered conservative in most countries, and at other times in US history) keep meeting them halfway.
I think that the Romney/Obama stuff is in re: the US elections, so, they’re referring to the American/US left-right spectrum.
“Some people who aren’t Democrats are jerks. Film at eleven.”
WTF? These are people who were already through the security screening on the way in.
Heh. Totally off-topic, but I can’t resist:
About 5 weeks ago I was hanging out with my 16 year old brother and flipping channels on the television. Commenting on the at-the-time very heavy coverage of Romney’s ‘47%’ video, I quipped: “Mitt Romney sounds like kind of a dick. Film at 11.”
My brother had no earthly idea what the words “film at eleven” might refer to, and I had to explain the reference to him in detail … including the very existence of local news that airs regularly at 11 PM. The boy’s barely ever seen commercials, let alone a local TV news.
I feel old.
So where are all the posters getting all over DavidM like they got all over Bricker for doing the exact same thing (i.e., believing one media account that cast the other guy in a bad light)?
Post 55?
