Romney strapped his dog on car roof for 12 hour journey

That’s the best they can dig up on him?

Kind of makes Jack and Bobby Kennedy tag-teaming Marilyn Monroe in the drive-up to the White House that much more scandalous…

I’m surprised Mitt’s disgusting history of late library book returns hasn’t been brought to light. You know what they say- returning library books late even if you pay the fine is a “gateway crime”. Before you know it, you’re strapping the dog to the roof of the car.

Cartooniverse

That’s your opinion and you’ve done nothing to support it. I’ve pointed out that dogs love to stick their head out the window and ride in the back of trucks. Riding in a cage inside a car prevents that. It’s the polar opposite of cruel.

When I was a kid dogs liked to stick their head out the window and ride in the back of pickups. Same as now. Riding in a secured cage allows them to do that safely.

Sticking their heads out the window is not the same as being strapped on a roof. My dogs like to stick their noses out the window. I would never strap them on the top of a car. NEVER,

Has anybody but Romney ever done such a horrible thing .? I have never seen this done. If it were a benign idea ,we would see people doing it every day. However , they would likely get lynched if they did.

How many people get lynched for leaving their critters untethered in a pickup truck bed while they’re traveling down the highway at 55 mph or higher?

They should get a police visit. If you strapped your dog on the roof in a cage and took a long drive ,the police would get many cell phone calls from people driving by. They would get pulled over. The cops might not understand how much better it is for sniffing. They would think correctly, that it was unsafe and cruel.
I saw a guy driving down the street with a german shepherd in the back of his pick up truck. The dog fell out and was nearly hung. He pulled over and threw the dog in the back screaming at it. At least 3 guys were immediately calling the police on their cells.

You have yet to explain what is cruel about being in a cage above the car as opposed to being inside the car.

Hogs, chickens and cattle go to market in the back of open (ventilated) trailers every day.

That tells me everything I need to know about how you treat your dogs.

And that tells me everthing I need to know about your reasoning skills and your ability to debate.

And that all depends on the law where you happen to be. I’ve been in areas of the United States where many of those people driving by with cell phone in hand would also have their own dog in the pickup truck bed.

The cops may think it’s unsafe and cruel; however, they can’t do much about it if it’s not illegal.

I do not know if that is true. Animal cruelty is a crime.

The open air horse thing made me wonder and it seems that money factors in to how horses eventually travel behind a pickup truck or motor home.

I would consider that an open air trailer and I would also take a criticism that it isn’t. I would not, however, believe that Romney would subject his dog to anything less unless someone showed me a photo of his rig.

And just maybe it’s not considered in that state to be cruelty to have the critter loose in the pickup bed. Ever think of that?

Strapping on a roof may qualify, that ever occur to you?
