Root Beer Floats

Hmm, I made a sassafras ale a while back that tasted sort of like a hard root beer (and had quite a kick, to boot). Maybe I’ll brew some more and send you along a couple bottles so you can continue your experiments.

Mine too though I haven’t had one since I was a kid. FTR I was born in Milwaukee

Here’s my thoughts…
First, you need a BIG GLASS.

No, not a tumbler or cup. Not holding a mere 32 ounces. You need a GLASS that’ll hold at least FORTY ounces! One that’s wider at the top than the bottom. A nice THICK HEAVY glass.

Pop that in the freezer and wait about a half-hour.
hey… a good root-beer float is WORTH the wait!

Then… do as other posters have said. Pour the rootbeer first.
Now… wait about thirty seconds or more for the head to subside. Better yet…<snrk> suck the head off <snrk>. NOW, add ice cream. Ice cream that’s frozen very hard will work best.

Enjoy!

Also, plum bobs.
