roskilde festival

i was there (raises a hand), had a great time.

it puzzled me a bit why people are there to see the bands, i was there for the entertainment and a general enjoyment of life.

think about it… some bands decide not to play because of a very tragic accident and some people pack up and leave because it(granted that some people left because of the accident…). taking a companion of mine for example, when some bands decided not to play she decided this was all boring and pointless, she nevertheless stayed for company and to see 2 bands that hadnt decided to quit, and were scheduled almost last in the program (“muse” and “sigur rós”).

some of my accomplishments during roskilde.

  1. arrived in time to get last remaining space for a tent.
  2. didnt manage to get drunk, despite some cases of beer.
  3. fell asleep just after midnight on thursday.
  4. was asleep during pearl jam.
  5. fell asleep during lou reed, but awoke in time to hear him play and sing “perfect day”, that pretty much made the day exacly like that.
  6. managed 20 cased of coca cola, but fell because of an ill arranged box some 3 boxes down…
  7. didnt manage to find all the shops in the area.
  8. didnt get wet, but got dirty.
