Exactly, that’s what glee apparently isn’t getting.
Glee, I KNOW that Serkis did much more than the voice. Read through that other thread I linked to earlier. BobT asked “what’s the difference,” because if Ellen is eligible to be nominated based on her voice performance, then why couldn’t Serkis be nominated for his performance of Gollum’s voice, facial expressions, movements, etc.
Your initial response to BobT’s question only makes sense in this argument if you’re trying to say that he is ineligible for an Oscar nomination because he did more than the voice.
