Rotten Tomatoes' Worst of the Worst

I was a bit disapointed that it was only “recent” films… To me “Top 100” should be a prime list of camp, trash and uncharming kitcsh form the last 75 yrs of cinema.

Ed Wood… where are you when we need you??!

There really hasn’t been anyone up to (or down to) his standard in recent decades, has there?

Uwe Boll. At least with Ed Wood, you could tell that he loved the idea of making movies, even if he was totally, mindbogglingly incompetent. Uwe Boll is just as incomptent, but appears to actively hate the idea of cinema, and people who enjoy it.

Funny how I was just thinking of Plan 9 From Outer Space just today, and how I would love to watch it again. It’s so absolutely bad that it almost comes back around toward brilliance.

I agree - I also think Glen or Glenda has the same “charm”

I think the makers of the “Baby Geniuses” movies are getting there:

Both #17 & #6 directed by Bob Clark!

I’m ashamed to admit it, but I actually saw their choice of #1 worst (Ballistic; Eks Vs. Sever) in the theatre with a couple of freinds (Ed and Danielle) (at least they paid for the tickets, as i had covered dinner)

during the first 5 minutes it was clear to both Ed and myself, this was a horrible movie, we began to MST it, much to the amusement of Danielle, at least until she fell asleep during the movie…

yes, that’s right, she fell asleep in this “action movie”, missed about half of it, and was still able to easily ridicule it after we woke her up when the movie was over

trust me, B;E Vs. S is not even worth renting, over the top action sequences, horribly bad physics, it’s basically one long pyrotechnic display, you get more believable acting and emoting out of the numerous explosions, and the pile of (clearly cardboard, you can see the seams and everything) “concrete tubes” that land on top of the “hero” in the gunfight in the freight train loading area

no, it’s not as bad as Manos; the Hands of Fate (nothing is worse than Manos <shudder>), but it’s a very close second or third

Hey, Mike Nelson, why not make a Rifftrax for Ballistic?..

Well, according to the site banner, it’s the “Worst-Reviewed Films of All Time.” Not only were there fewer movie critics thirty, even twenty years ago, one would assume that RottenTomatoes doesn’t really have enough content to put up on, say, Ed Wood (barring retrospectives).
