The next page isn’t a download page at all though, because it says:
Login and password? I don’t have one! - and it isn’t just a case of throwing some personal details into a web form, in order to access the downloads, you’ve got to register one of their commercial products (so it isn’t available for users who just want to view UDF volumes).
OK, thinking this must be one of those amusing oversights that they’ll just love me to point out, I contact their tech support - web form, multi-choice - dropdown list topic nearest to my actual problem is ‘broken links’, off goes a brief description of the problem.
Next day, an email comes back saying “there aren’t any broken links, try again!”
I respond saying yes, the links might actually work, BUT I CAN’T FREELY DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE THAT YOUR WEBSITE SAYS IS FREELY DOWNLOADABLE!
Today, another email: “We need to explain this to you on the telephone, why don’t you call us on this number, it will only cost your one pound per minute!”
On a related note, can anybody tell me where to find a patch for Adaptec Easy CD Creator v3.5 so that it will recognise my Freecom cd burner? I had the patch. But, I no longer know what disk it’s on. Roxio no longer supports anything that far back.
