I’ve certainly been stunningly obtuse before today, and it may well be that this adds another instance to my unenviable total. But I’m not there yet, and I, too, would be curious to see if I’m alone in my confusion or my misinterpretation.
Or, as you so charmingly say, in my fucking retardation.
This reminds me a lot of that lost issue of Dennis the Menace where Dennis gets all jacked on crystal meth and stands on the front lawn hurling profanities at Mr. Wilson, who for some reason keeps responding to him. (Or was it Billy in The Family Circus?)
I did not say I was confused. You asked anyone else if you were off base. You probably are. I am not entirely certain if your scenarios have a point other than reflexive self-defense and an exercise in hole-digging under duress.
… How is it “reflexive self-defense” to ask someone to clarify a position? I have nothing to defend myself against. Were you even in this thread when this line of discussion started, or did you just come in midway through? Because honestly, you’re not making any sense.
So far there’s one guy who says he’s not confused but that I was “probably” off-base, but he hasn’t answered my further follow-up to him. There were several other people who were defending my hypothetical earlier, though, so presumably they can all be considered under the “got it” heading.
I fuck with assholes in the Pit. What’s your point? Feel free to make searches for variations on “you’re right,” “I was wrong,” “ignorance fought,” and “I apologize,” and you’ll find plenty of those from me, too.
Could *getting other people to change the subject in a pit thread about you * be considered a minor superpower? I mean, its not as good as the ability to fly, but perhaps on a par with the ability to speak with fish?
The only thing I’ve gotten out of this thread is that Bricker doesn’t think it’s possible to adhere to Republican fiscal policy and Democratic social policy. It makes sense to me. If you’ll allow me to be overly broad:
Republicans are all about decreasing the money government gets. Democrats are all about increasing the amount of social programs the government provides. How the heck can you do both? You ain’t got money for the social programs.
If there is any other argument going on, it has been completely swallowed up by that.
