Rubio Isn't The Front Runner, But Everyone Else Is Acting Like He Is

:throws rotten tomato at 'luc:

‘On message’ generally means coming back to the same topic, but getting your point across in different ways each time. Most people don’t regard repeating the very same stock phrase, verbatim, over and over again, as merely being ‘on message.’

At any rate, if Rubio isn’t politically dead yet, his rivals will make sure everyone gets to see him saying the same thing repeatedly in a 30-second commercial. This isn’t going to go away until Rubio calls it quits.

Right. Even when he says something only once, it often sounds like he has just mechanically memorized it. This is something I noticed about him a long time ago, and pointed out in the thread on Adaher’s predictions several weeks before Rubio’s meltdown in the debate.

Rubio’s new ad shows shots of Canada.

Maybe he’s campaigning for Cruz.

It’s morning again in [del]America[/del] Canada!

Brownback just endorsed Rubio, which isn’t helpful except among extremists, but there we are.

OK, even aside from the geographical blunder, he’s also completely misunderstanding the whole “morning” metaphor.
