"Ruh-roh!"

Who said it first? Scooby Doo, or Astro?

Has to be Astro, he goes back to the early 60s.

My fave Astro line: “Rook at the Rimp!”

Rats right rorge, ROOBY ROOBY ROG!

don’t know about first but as as soon as I read the title I thought Scooby Doo so I think he is more associated with it now

depends on if its followed by raggy or rorge.

Well, The Jetsons takes place in the year 2062, so technically Scooby-Doo could have said it first.

It probably depends on your age. It’ll always be Astro to me.

I guess so

I feel like Scooby Doo is more well known in the cultural consciousness than The Jetsons is now (especially among us young folk, since there’s newer series and TV movies and the live action movie)

Astro is my favorite of the two dogs but I still thought of Scooby Doo when I read the title.

Did anyone associated with its production ever mention a specific time frame for The Jetsons? The only thing I ever remember seeing was when they appeared on Adult Swim’s Harvey Birdman and they said they were from the fantastic future year of 2000! Harvey then glances at his desk calender which shows it was already 2002. I realize that’s hardly canon, it was a parody, but I don’t think Hanna Barbera ever gave a year for The Jetsons. Wikipedia doesn’t. Being a kid’s show it is the kind of thing they wouldn’t do.

Hell, even Star Trek was cagey about the exact year. Now its officially supposed to have been exactly 300 years in the future (i.e. the first season of TOS takes place in 2266) but I don’t know if that was ever mentioned or just kinda retconned. Even TNG only mentioned the actual Earth year once or twice.

Wikipedia does give a date. In fact, I checked just before I posted. Wiki sez 2062. It’s exactly 100 years after the show’s debut in 1962.
