Okay, you egg sucking monkey felchers, I’ve had 140 messages this morning. About 60 are the Badtrans virus. RUN YOUR FUCKING VIRUS SCANNERS ALREADY!!! IT’S AN OLD VIRUS. THERE’S NO DAMN EXCUSE. JESUS FREAKING CHRIST ON A VIBRATING POGO STICK. deep breath
Well, you can have some of my users, none of whom seem to want to run their virus checkers, ever.
Or you can have the ones who click on every SINGLE FREAKING attachment they get, even if they don’t know who it’s from.
Or you can have the ones who refer to their PC as “the C: drive” and their monitor as “the computer”.
The really bad ones we get a clear label saying “ANY” and put it on their spacebar. The first question if they’re flagged in the system is " Is there anything written on your spacebar?"
Separates the PEBCAKS from the lusers, at least.
My users all have Norton installed on their computers and it runs everyday (and updates itself) whether they want it to or not. They already know that WOE to the person who cancells out of that program. We’ve now been virus free for about 2 1/2 months. (knock on wood) Opening up links in e-mail and attachments is now a fireable offense and I told everyone that I KNOW all. It works great.
While you’re at it, dipshits, You’ve Got Nimda!
It’s not that hard to get rid of. Take the time. I resent
getting thousands of nimda-related requests to my webserver
every fucking day. I remember the days when I could look at
my server logs and tell at a glance who was looking at what
without picking through tons of garbage. Do you have any
idea how much you schmucks are slowing down traffic?
RUN THE FUCKING PATCH, YOU WINDOWS-USING, DROOLING,
MICROCEPHALIC ASSHOLES! It won’t hurt.
That goddamn Nimda virus isnt that easy to get rid of IMHO. I had it take down 23 units that were not even equipped with web browsers or email and on several of them tha goddamn removal tool from norton was removing the .eml files slower than the virus was propagating to itself. At last count one of the units had over 4400 infected 500kb files!
Nah, the really annoying one is SirCam - I have 30 email addresses to take care of companywide, all viruses are blocked at the router, but I get a notice for every virus that tries to get through and this month so far it’s up to 15,541 fucking emails that have contained this worm! This has been going on for, oh, most of this year (sure am glad I put in the mail program that takes care of that, and got everyone out of Outlook in the company) - every month I get one or two calls from people complaining about the messages the router sends them that tell them they have the fucking virus, and I have to walk these numb-nuts through the process of cleaning up their computers because they didn’t know they had a virus/worm. Never mind the HUNDREDS of emails you’ve received telling you about it!
Bleargggggghhhhhh! Retch & Spew…
At least they aren’t getting into the computers anymore - I don’t miss the days of completely re-building computers due to some idjit opening an attachment…
My solution: don’t use #@! Outlook.
(actually I don’t use a PC either, but I realize that not every company can readily switch to Macs. you don’t HAVE to use Outlook, though, and if you do you deserve what you get)
