Running digital distribution game sale/special thread

Yeah, I bought the Missing Link DLC there a while back and it worked on Steam just fine.

Now I see. Steam is doing a 2K Weekend with at least 50% off their catalog except for The Darkness 2 (25%) and the recently released MLB 2K12 (not on sale). Today’s Daily Deal is 75% off the Mafia franchise

Civ 5 75% off for one day - $7.50 for base game, $12.50 for game+all dlc.

The DLC is on sale as well but, to add it all up (combos and singles not in combos) is over $10 and you almost might as well just repurchase the GOTY edition.

Amazon has a buy-one-get-one-free sale on DRM free Ubisoft titles. Plus the titles are already on sale for $5 each so it works out to $2.50 a game assuming you buy an even number.

Assassin’s Creed: Director’s Cut

Call of Juarez
Call of Juarez 2: Bound in Blood

Far Cry
Far Cry 2: Fortune’s Edition

Rayman: Raving Rabbids
Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc

The Settlers: Heritage of Kings
The Settlers: Rise of an Empire Gold Edition

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Lockdown
Tom Clancy’s EndWar
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2
Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X.

That’s a whole lotta Tom Clancy.

I just picked up Orcs Must Die in Steam’s mid-week madness sale this week. $4.99 for the game plus 2 DLCs (75% off). I haven’t played it yet, but I know I’ve seen it recommended here.

Yeah OMD is pretty awesome. Also Battlefield 3 for $30 on Origin. Burnout Paradise: Ultimate on steam for $5 (daily).

THQ is having a sale direct from their site.

Some highlights…

Saints Row III - $25
STALKER: S.O.C. - $5
Metro 2033 - $5
Red Faction: Armageddon - $10
Red Faction: Guerrilla - $5
Homefront - $7.50
Company of Heroes - $5 ($7.50 for gold pack)
Supreme Commander: Gold Edition - $10
Titan Quest: Gold Edition - $5
Warhammer 40k Dawn of War II: Retribution - $10
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine - $15

Pre-order for Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai is $20 (33% off) at Green Man Gaming. Steamworks game so you’ll activate it on Steam regardless of where it comes from.

Everytime I buy stuff from GMG My stupid credit card’s security division locks my card. Apparently their in Europe?

UK I believe given the number of deals they have for *.uk users.

Shogun 2: Total War is $7.50 on steam and $2.50 for the Rise of the Samurai DLC. The upcoming DLC (fall of the Samurai) is 33% off on GreenManGaming. Portal 2 is $10 on steam. Daily deal the spellforce franchise at 75% off.

Neverwinter Nights 2 Mac edition is a buck at Gamersgate.

To clarify, you don’t need Shogun 2 to play Fall of the Samurai. It’s a stand alone.

If you want to get your retro on, Amazon has a 48-game Sega pack for $7.50. That’s just under sixteen cents a game. No easy way to list the games since the “pack” includes sub-packs that aren’t detailed game by game but you can check it out yourself if you have a hankerin’ to play Altered Beast, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Alienstorm and Ecco the Dolphin. Plus more old school Sonic than you can shake a hedgehog at.

I just got three 50% off coupons for Might&Magic Heroes 6. I already have it, so if anyone’s interested in a discounted fantasy TBS, let me know. They expire April 1st. User name is Claptree.

ETA: Tradable, but I can’t gift them. You can just trade me nothing for them, though.

GamersGate is having a Dragon Age sale.

Dragon Age Origins - $5.99
Dragon Age Origins Ultimate (inc. Awakenings & DLC) - $8.99
Dragon Age Origins Digital Deluxe (inc. DLC & some exclusive items; no Awakenings) - $11.99
Dragon Age II - $12.00
Dragon Age Complete Pack (Origins/Awakening/Ultimate DLC/DA2) - $13.58

If you just want Dragon Age and not DA2, I’d go Ultimate over Digital Deluxe. More DLC for less money at the cost of a few in-game items.

At $13 the complete pack is absolutely an amazing deal. There’s tons of great gameplay there.

And no, Dragon Age 2 is not as good as Origins and it was disappointing because everyone expected it to be BETTER, but it’s still a good game.

It’s Square Enix/Eidos weekend on Steam, meaning it’s all 50% off with different deals every day. For another hour is the Hitman series 75% off. I’ll pre-recommend Just Cause 2 as I always do, I’m sure it’ll come up in a daly sale. The Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light game is actually a really good coop game if you have someone to play with.

Thief: Deadly Shadows is $5 on Green Man Gaming, Darksiders is $5 on GamersGate.

I finally get to second Just Cause 2 – after getting bored with several games in a row and quitting them after a few hours of play, I’ve gotten completely sucked into JC2. It’s getting a little repetitive where I’m at (I just unlocked the last vehicle and weapon, and am trying to cause enough chaos to get the next agency mission), but the explosions are so ridiculously satisfying that I can easily play it for awhile longer.

I don’t know if Blizzard games ever go on sale, but if anyone sees Starcraft 2 on sale ever, please mention it here.

unless you wait for a price drop, you might have better luck looking for a retail box that is on sale…
