A few days ago RT /Russia Today interrupted a C-SPAN broadcast. I’ve not heard anything more about it since. Did anyone ever find out how this happened? What was the cause?

According to C-SPAN it was an “internal routing error”:

It is the “further investigation” I have not read anything about anywhere…
A similar thing happened on SCTV.
Fake news of course.
What factual information do you base this statement on?
FYI - Your statement sounds VERY MUCH like what Putin and his cronies are saying about everything lately!

I would hope he means that the stuff saying that it was a hack was fake news.
Though I wouldn’t call it such, unless they flat out said it was a hack. If they just said it might be, that’s accurate. As long as they don’t keep pushing it at a hack, when CSPAN says they don’t think it was one, and says they’ll announce otherwise if they learn they were wrong.
If and when that announcement comes would it be okay to bring it up again.
Si Amigo may also have been joking.
Cable signals are routed through “Network Operations Centers” which service many channels. I’m not a tech expert so I don’t know exactly how this would happen, but it’s possible the feed got switched over accidentally. The fact that a channel that chronicles the US governing process was replaced by Russian propaganda is suggestive, but we’d need to know more to say it was a hack.
