Nekulturniy

“Uncultured” is a better translation.

Privyaet.

cpaciba. Is it spelled with an ‘o’ at the end ? I know it’s possible, but I don’t remember now.

Yes: it’s spelled with an “o” but pronounced as an “a”.

Definitely “uncultured” (“philistine” would be a more idiomatic translation).

A. Nemo - some context, pozhaluysta?

Try these sites if the need for translation comes up again.
These pages will translate a block of text or an entire web site.

I’m sure there are more available.

www.translate.ru is another nice one.

hehe, Russian is so tricky on the 'net…

For the record, it is also “nichego”. The “g” turns into a “v” when spoken.

And to be more specific, “Vanya” is the diminuitive/familiar form of “Ivan,” so it is much like Johnny, but not the same. I’ve seen “Ivan” be likened to names from Ryan to John.

In makeshift-Cyrillic, nichego looks more like Hu[ch]ero. [ch] is a character closest to an upside-down-and-inverted h.

I always loved the whole:

Kafe, pozhaluista.
Pozhaluista.
Spacibo.
Pozhaluista.
