I found this site when I was reading Pravda tonight and just wanted to know if this is the Russian counterpart of The Straight Dope?

The Straight Dope messge board uses vBulletin which is a popular commercial message board software. Many message boards run on this software and they all look alike.
Tons of message boards use this software – that’s what it’s marketed for.
Pravda ain’t the Chicago Reader, and that site ain’t the Straight Dope. Notice that all of the forums are opinion forums, and most relate to politics. Nothing could be more opposed…
Wow, that board is - strange.
I think it’s kinda cool, except it’s in English. Most “average” Russians won’t be able to participate, despite the fact a lot of Russians have studied English.
Too bad, the “average Russian” is a lot better educated than westerners think, and they have no shortage of opinions. I like to hear their take on things.
There IS Fark in Russia. For laughs, try running it through AltaVista’s Russian to English translator sometime.
