I’ve been looking for a Ruthless Records shirt for a long time now and I’ve had no luck, does anyone know where I might be able to find one?
Boy, no. The only Ruthless Records firm I ever knew was a 1970s era vinyl bootleg label. I dpn’t think they ever released anything legal.
Their label art used to feature a cute little puppy with a revolver being held to its head and the words “Ruthless Records”.
If that’s the one you’re thinking of you can probably go ahead and make your own shirts. Given their proclivities I can’t imagine they made a copyright claim on the image.
If that’s who you’re thinking of I stand in stunned amazement that someone other than me remembers them.
Ruthless Records was the record label formerly owned by the late great Eazy E, most notable famous for his leadership of the “gangsta rap” pioneers NWA in the late 1980’s. I’m not too into rap but this stuff is just pure classic, go buy Straight Outta Compton if you’ve never heard it.
