What credit cards are accepted at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse? We have a larger party and want to use one card only.
Have you checked out the website or called up the location of the one you will be going to?
Pretty much any of the well-known cards are taken. Be prepared to drop some serious cash though, depending on the number in your party. My wife and I went there a few years ago and the bill was well over $100 for just the two of us.
From their website:
We accept all major credit cards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Personal checks are accepted for final payment, provided they are received at least fourteen business days prior to an event.
How exactly does someone provide a check 14 days in advance of seeing the bill? Clairvoyance? Make it out for $10,000 and hope it’s enough?
They host meetings, weddings, birthday parties, and other events, so I would assume that they have fixed price per-head catering packages for these things that you can figure out the cost of well in advance. Given the “prior to an event” language at the end, it’s pretty clear to me that they don’t just dinner for two.
Whatever you do, don’t touch the plate after they warn you its hot. ITS FUCKING HOT! I didn’t listen…
I’ve had some pretty eventful dinners for two. Paying prior and making a quick getaway would have been a blessing.
I think you can use Visa’s Mastercard.
I’ve Discovered that.
That’s from the catering page. The one I easily located to find credit card info for the restaurant. So the bill would be calculated in advance.
But I stopped short of posting it. Wondered why the OP couldn’t do his own Googling…
He didn’t even stick around for any answers. Last active time is the time he posted.
They even advertise on TV that their plates are 500 degrees. I don’t understand how it’s a selling point that the tableware is hot enough to burn you.
I’m trying to figure out in what way is signing up for a message board, waiting, than posting easier than calling the restaurant itself?
Yep, I burned the edge of my palm on my left hand after disregarding the instruction. Why don’t they simply transfer the food to non-heated plate before serving? After a few minutes the steak, and the plate, begins to cool regardless.
They hired McDonald’s former Coffee Czar.
Why do I have a feeling the OP googled some type of similar question, maybe with Chicago in it, and clicked the SDMB link? Then though this was the way to get an answer?
If you do, you’ll have Carte Blanche to order whatever you want.
Diners Club
Can someone explain the name to me? I could never figure out what was going on in there. It’s like Chris just barged right into Ruth’s Steakhouse.
Or did the sign maker put the apostrophe in the wrong place and they just never changed it or something?
