S. Claus is my power suit.

I usually wear it once a year. I walk down the street, people honk (yes, I can hear that), people wave, little kids eyes get real big. People ask if their kids can have a photo with me. Not one kid has said no & there were a few who wouldn’t do it with any other S. Claus. Teenagers pull the beard down sometimes (once)

One time I walked by a church & about 25 little kids came running after me & I started running the other way.

Most asked statement of annoying kids, usually 7 & up:
“You can’t be a real S. Claus cause he’s not deaf”

So what are your power suits?

Sorry to hi-jack your thread Handy, but your story reminded me that last weekend, I went to the local mall and the Santa there was able to sign as well. It was a very touching sight to see the little girl in his lap being able to tell Santa (probably for the first time in her life) what she wanted for Christmas and him to understand and answer her.

You may now resume your thread.

I love it when I see people wear unexpected things!

My very favorite power suit is a pirate costume that I got one year for Halloween. Every once in a while, I wear it around the house for kicks. I wore it to work a few months ago as part of an elaborate joke we were playing on someone who just got promoted.

The only thing that makes me sad about wearing it is that a lot of people see me and say “oh wow, a lady pirate!” I don’t know why this bothers me so much.

The girl probably asked for a cochlear implant.

That’s one thing I’m thankful for- whenever they need an all-day, hot suit Santa, I’m never even on the list to ask  (Have been approached by leering Santas about being an Elf though. I think they expect me to have costumes to match each of their fantasies.)

My favorite suit at cards is Hearts.
