So, soldiers have taken what appears to be Saddam’s love shack. Complete with mirrored bedroom, scads of guns and murals of fantasy scenes.

Hey, the monster in that fantasy scene looks familiar! Let’s get a closer look.

It’s Acathla! The stone demon thing that Angel used to try to suck the world into hell way back in Season Two!

Here’s a pic of Acathla.

Definitely separated at birth. And proof that Saddam (or maybe his muralist) is a Buffy fan. But what’s with the blond Teutonic people? I don’t remember them being in that episode at all.

Tis wouldbe great, except, that is a pretty off-the-shelf demon, as demons go. I’m totally with you on the bit, though.

I suspect he helped write Seasons 6 and 7.
