My dad gets to install an adblocker on the Mac he uses at church. I see that both Adblock and Adblock Plus have a Safari version. Both are ports from other browsers.
Does anyone have any experience on which they think is better?
I would like to know more about this too! While I don’t use Safari very often, I do have AdBlock installed. According to its description, it’s also available for Chrome…and sure enough, that’s what I use in Chrome too. I have AdBlock Plus installed for Firefox. Both extensions do a great job of blocking ads on websites, and both appear to block Gmail ads. AdBlock Plus also takes care of YouTube ads and most Facebook ads. (Not sure about plain AdBlock for these two…I use Chrome at work, and I don’t use Safari very often.)
I also have Ghostery installed though – there’s a chance that it could be blocking some advertising elements as well.
