Any fans? It’s coming back in 2022!
Can’t wait. Just re-read the entire story so far and it still holds up. Just a terrifically creative and wacky universe, along with some fantastic character work.
For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, Saga is a little bit like a hard-R (lots of sex and violence) rated Star Wars, except the main characters are on the run and trying to escape the galactic conflict rather than win it.
Terrific news. I was very impressed with Saga. Great worldbuilding, strong characters who could always surprise you.
I have a couple of Saga compilations (graphic novels). So far, I love it!
But…
Every time I pick up the first volume, and get a dozen or so pages into it, I run into a friend who I think “They’d love comic books if I gave them this!”
So I need to buy it yet again…
Amazing series! I caught up on all the trades this year, so I’m thrilled I don’t have to wait too long for the next one. Vaughn and Staples did an amazing job constructing one of the most unique fantasy universes I’ve ever seen, and every character is complex and has at least some redeeming qualities. And Lying Cat rocks!
Aaaand, it’s back.
I borrowed the entire series from my cousin and read it. But I’m skeptical of the return. The story arc felt complete. They’ll really have to knock it out of the park to make it work.
