Salmon Recipes Wanted

Salmon Curry…

Adjust ingredients to suit what you have, generally add one for each you omit…

Fry cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, chopped chillies for a few minutes

Add a tin of tomatoes, coriander, pepper, salt, curry leaves, bay leaves, anythign else that smells good

Simmer for 15 mins

Place (preferably skinless) salmon fillets on top of the tomato, place on the lowest heat, cover, leave for ten minutes apart from turning halfway.

Serve with rice.

I saw the thread and thought about gravlox - so here’s a similiar recipe:

One slab of salmon raw - no steaks please.
Half shot glass salt.
Half shot glass sugar.
Two shot glasses vodka.
Fresh dill.
Coarse grind black pepper.

At night:
Put salmon slab in glass baking dish skin side down. Sprinkle salt over salmon slab. Sprinkle sugar over salmon slab. Pour one shot of vodka gingerlly over salmon slab. Cover with dill and pepper. Cover and stick it in the firdge. Make a toast to yourself and drink the second shot of vodka. (Note: I always store my Vodka in the freezer and it’s usually Stolis - if you must know.)

For the next three days when you get up in the morning, after you wash your hands, flip the slab o’ salmon over. (I’ve never drained my salmon, letting instead stew in its own juices.) Cover and stick it back in the fridge. Now brush your teeth, morning breath.

When you get home from work on the third day - slice thin and serve on your favorite Norwegian cracker.

Thanks, guys.
