Sam Stone believes Trump's tweets

So are you the brave soul who’ll find my Nazi posts that @Czarcasm seems to think exist?

Is this whining or keening?

I don’t think you’re a Nazi. More of a large mouth bass, the way you keep taking the bait.

Meh, it’s a new guy. I’m done with k9 and others.

Aww! Dogs are awesome!

I mean…

Imgur

He’s a Trumpeteer; it’s what they do.

I used to just accept that he’s Canadian, but now I have doubts. I mean, why would I care to make a similar OP about Tanzania’s infrastructure policies? The man has no interest in Canadian politics, is extremely invested (you know, like he lives here) in American political development and American ideologies, and frankly, until the man wants to provide proof, I’m just gonna assume the Canadian citizen claim is just bullshit.

He’s a post-Trump conservative. Assuming the lie should be the default setting when talking with these people.

Yes he does. I mostly hang out in the Quarantine Zone and he bashes Trudeau in every thread related to Canada.

FFS. It’s the one where you decided to randomly come in here and freak out about people saying mean things about @Sam_Stone, making up a lie about him being called a Nazi so you could use it as an excuse to defend him.

Freaking out that much about the word Nazi and making up a ridiculous interpretation is a pretty classic Nazi defense tactic. As is trying to make any mention of Nazism or fascism off limits.

Plus, frankly, you’re just an asshole who likes to pick fights and then blame everyone else for fighting back. People aren’t exactly being careful with their words around you, since we clearly don’t like you.

Easy there BigT fella. Don’t do anything you might regret later.

See, that’s how you make a one-liner. That was funny.

No, it makes perfect sense.

Sam is a member of that subset of bored and resentful Canadians who are obsessed with the perceived defects of America. He just rants from the opposite end of the political spectrum.

True. Canadian politics is very boring. Once you get past the “Trudeau is to blame for everything and he turned my cow’s milk sour” there is not much left to talk about in Alberta. Although some there are getting amusing by starting to call the far right Premier Kenney a “leftie”

I believe he’s from Canada, but, man, does he consume a lot of American right-wing lunacy. Let’s not forget how this thread got started – he somehow believed that Trump told the truth about something. He thought that Trump wouldn’t lie about something easily disproven. Anyone reading reality-based news would realize how stupid that is.

Wow, you should be more sympathetic. We’re opposite sides of the same coin, you and I.

Are some of you under the impression that US politics has no effects outside its borders? As the father of Sam’s favourite politician said, “Living next to you is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even-tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt,”

The trouble is Sam wants to give the beast caffeine rather than a sedative. And denies the beast is a problem in the first place.

That may be the trouble but that was not what he was criticized for and non-Americans are constantly discounted on this board by dopers like @Jackmannii who seem unable to come up with any other defence.

Non-Americans are loved on this board when they agree with the left. Then you hear about how cosmopolitan the board is, and how it’s important to get global voices.

And if you say the board leans left, you invariably get back, “Hey, that’s only by American standards. Do we need to remind you that this board contains people from all over the world? We are a gloval community, and pretty centrist when you look beyond America.”

We have tons of foreign posters here who debate American politics and never get their motives challenged, because they agree with the people on this board who like to challenge people’s motives and character when they don’t agree with them.

But if you are on the ‘wrong’ side and not American, your motives are questioned, you get asked why you don’t care about your own country, you get told your opinion doesn’t matter and people bag on you for weighing in where you don’t belong. I have had pit threads started about me over it.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a left-wing Canadian called out for opining about America.
