I just read the column about Joy Adamson and got to wondering about Slug’s drawing. A search of the archive led me to Is swallowing chewing gum dangerous?, dated 29 May 1985. Someone should fix that date, it’s not even a Friday!
Now, what’s the deal with the creature on Joy’s lap?
When the Classics were first published on AOL, the graphics were stripped out of them. We’re now replacing them when we can, but the procedure is not foolproof; not all columns had graphics, not all graphics can be found, and sometimes we just plain goof up.
Not sure what happened in this instance, but we’ll look into it. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

An update: the two columns were originally published together on the same date, which was March 29, 1985. So technically speaking, the graphic applies to both, but it’s confusing, especially since they’re now two separate files.
The May 29 date is a typo on my part, I’ll fix that.
