Cool. Looks like we have a pretty good crowd so far.
Now comes the question of where and when to meet? Any suggestions? I’ll try and think of some places too.
Somewhere near the main Cal Train station would be ducky. If we are going to be drinking like I think we’ll be drinking, I’m gonna want to leave the car at home. Barring anyplace near the train station, one that’s a straight shot by bus, or at the worst, BART would be nice.
Two events I’ve never attended in one stroke, count me in. Are guest welcome?
Absolutely guess are welcome. Just be on time. It will be quite, quite crowded. Plan accordingly, and give yourself plently of time to find parking.

I also just found out that one of my favorite bands will be performing at 1pm on the miller stage. It’s Me First and the gimme gimmes. They are a punk band that only performs covers. Mostly of 80’s and 70’s pop songs. Uptown girl, Me and Julio, Leaving on a jet plane, other stuff. Really really Fun. They are followed by Stinky’s Peep Show Dancers and a Stormy Leather Fashion Show… Stinky’s peep show employs larger women for an all in good fun strip show. Pretty cool stuff.
We have a potential crowd of 22 or more people here. Should be good stuff. We now have a week to work out the details.

OK!!! I’ve got a meeting place!!! Yep. A place to meet. It’s not a great place, but it’s near the fair and it’s easy to get to by public transport.
The place is SOMA Pizza on the corner of 7th and Mission.
If you are coming via Bart. You want to exit at the civic center station. Walk over to 7th and Market. And walk down one block.
If you are coming via CalTrain. Exit at the SF stop on 4th st. Walk over to the Muni line. Catch the NJudah downtown. You want to exit at the civic center station. Walk over to 7th and Market. And walk down one block.
If you are driving, there are numerous parking garages around. A fairly large one is located at 5th and mission. It is then a 2 block walk over.
I’ll be there at 11:30 (really).
I’ve actually straightened out enough recently that I don’t have any wearable leather to speak of! grrr. If you ask nice, I’ll show you my tattoos, though.
Well what the hey – I’ve always wanted to go check out the Folsom Street Fair… I think I’ll RSVP for me (and thus RSVP for Obfusciatrist in the process).

I don’t see a problem if we all wear rubber or vinyl.
So we have a couple people coming later. Does anyone have a cell phone number they feel like sharing with Sassy and troy McClure. That would probably be the easiest way to find and meet them, as it will be quite crowded. If not, I’ll arrange a later meeting point as well for those two.

Okeydoke, I’m gonna be there! Whoohoo! Uncool stuff happened at work to conspire against me coming, but it was nothing compared to my desire to eat pizza and admire goodies at the street fair with the Dopers. So I’ll be there a little after noon, if I don’t get too lost.
Well, looks like I wont be making it tomorrow :(. Family is coming over and not paying a visit with your filipino relatives who havent seen you in years is like commiting a grave sin. Have fun without me. Take lots of pictures…especially of hunky leathermen for me :).

GUL*P How old is your kid, Sue? You DO know what kind of street fair this is, right?! Just checkin’ to make sure. (hate to say it, but the buttons I made are not really um… kid-friendly… because they incorporate the leather flag, and I personally don’t want to be caught distributing something like that to a minor – many pardons!!)
