The men in Starbucks had the police called on them for no other reason than they were black.
The police were not called on SHS, and she was not sent away for being white, a woman, or a Republican. She was sent away for trying to make racist and intolerant government policies seem normal.
And if you read the article, she was not seated by the hostess. Her party was seated and she came late.
Yup. She supports the asshole in the White House. If follows that she is a racist piece of shit just like he is (I’m not just talking about the current crises, trump has a long history of racism). Combine that with the problems he is causing for the environment, education and that he has turned our country into a laughing stock, and you just may be called on the fact that you to support him. Surprise!
To hell with you.
The same goes for EVERYONE that is in his administration unless they are trying to control the toddler and prevent him from doing damage.
It’s been mentioned in passing, but this restaurant was well outside the Northern Virginia Washington suburbs. I note this for one argument…
A president is elected by the country as a whole. And, as Obama noted, elections have consequences. One such consequence is that a new administration will bring new people to Washington. And even if those people are from a political party not favored locally in Washington DC, the nation as a whole has an interest in the people making up the new administration being able to live in and around DC. These are people who will dine at restaurants, shop at groceries, patronize dry cleaners, and otherwise be involved in the local economy.
So DC has a non-discrimination provision that covers political affiliation. It may seem to some that telling staffers in the current administration to go pound sand is just fine. But asking how you might react if the parties were reversed is a good question to ask in determining policy. Humbly, I’d rather see that political affiliation protection extended to cover the DC metro area, even where it spills over to Maryland and Virginia.
People are shunned for what they do all the time since forever. I wouldn’t want to be arrested if I murdered someone. I also wouldn’t want to be arrested if I didn’t murder someone and the cops thought I did. There would be many things I wouldn’t like that some people deserve.
If this happened to a politician who did nothing to deserve shunning then I would obviously disagree with the action. Contrary to what many would imply, if I said so on the Internets that would not mean that I supported legislation to outlaw it!
God what a lazy post this is. Absolutely no effort. Yes, you’re trying to shit on media outfits that you don’t like. But this is about the laziest way to do it I’ve ever seen.
No media outfit is perfect, and pretty much every major one has hired crappy journalists at some point among the thousands who have worked for them. Unless you have evidence that Stahl is lying, this is a wholly bullshit complaint.
