And really should have just plead out as guilty and not bothered with the expense of the trial.
He will spend the rest of his days caged like an animal. GOOD.
Not sure why this guilty verdict is being pitted.
That said:
Soon, he won’t be able to! </Gallows>
Not too many days. From what I’ve heard, in the Big House everybody else, however horrible their own crimes, really hates and despises child molesters – and Sandusky will be the most famous one ever to enter.
The mods moved the thread here from elsewhere.
Jerry will never be in General Population.. He’ll live out his days in the isolation ward gardening or some other gig.. He’ll occasionally get his.. but it’s in the interest of the Warden and other prison officials that nothing untoward occurs to Sandusky..
Yep.
However, occasionally these guys DO accidentally get brief exposure to the regular prisoners. Father John Geoghan, another famous molester, was brutally murdered in prison by Joseph Druce, a prisoner who was accidentally allowed to get to Geoghan.
So it’s not a given that he’ll be safe, is my thought.
Inmates at his new digs apparently serenaded him to the strains of the Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall”: “Hey teacher, leave us kids alone!”
Unrelated, but had to ask: how much cash will Penn State be forced to pony up now? They admitted that they employed this creep for decades-shielding him and lavishing a top salary on him. I would not be surprised by civil judgements in the $100 million range.
I thought of this, and then realized, that the prosecution wouldn’t have agreed to any plea deal that didn’t basically end up being a life sentence. So when your choices are immediate life sentence, or a few weeks of trial and house arrest followed by an almost guaranteed life sentence, but with the possibility of a miracle, you go with the latter.
Does anyone know if the defense presented the paper towel tube theory? Or did they just stick with Chewbacca defense?
I am actually surprised SA didn;t show up at the trial with a paper towel tube demanding to be allowed to speak for the defense as an expert wittiness.
Huh? Of course he didn’t. He’s too busy planning the appeal.
When the civil suits start, will Sandusky’s wife be left with anything? Will Joe Paterno’s wife, or will the university insurance cover him?
Or fucking random kitchenware. One of the two.
