Santa Clarita season 3 is out on netflix

Sarcasm not intended, sorry if it came across like that. Probably should have left off the last line.

Thanks. I was wondering what I had posted that was so offensive.

BTW, I’m a big Fillion & Tudyk fan from when Firefly was on the air. I’ll miss Nathan, but Alan did well as his replacement.

I am wondering about the head itself, though - is it the actor made up and special effects, or is it a mechanical head and the actor is doing voice-over? (Not ruling out a combination of techniques - they could do both, whichever is a better fit with the scene and/or cheaper)

I’m having a hard time imagining someone more busy than Alan Tudyk. It is getting to the point where it is quicker to list characters not voiced by him.

Portia/Veronica was in S2.

Now we just need Ted and Linda to complete the set.

How’d I FORGET that!? I loved her in BOT.

My favorite random line from this season:

“This is not an outdoor cake!”

If you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to check out “Timeless”, with Lem as the pilot of the time ship. “Wait, the Lone Ranger was Black? Cool!”

David Popsicle plays the bad guy, as well.

Dobrivoje Poplovic, Dobrivoje Poplovic, Dobrivoje Poplovic. Is it that hard to remember??

We loved season three! Loved the cliff hanger! Hoping for more!

I also like Alan for Nathan, if they had to replace him due to The Rookie.

While watching this season I wondered how much time had elapsed. Then Joel mentioned it had been a month. I appreciated that.

And it’s over. Santa Clarita Diet Cancelled at Netflix. Would really be nice to get an idea of how Netflix decides what to cancel.

Goddammit

Bastards. At least back in the network TV days you could see it coming. You’d see the low ratings and know a show was doomed. With Netflix you don’t know what kind of ratings it is getting. It seemed like this show was pretty popular. Netflix keeps this up and I’m going to start hating them.

So it ends on a cliff hanger?

A little disappointed, but I was also frustrated about how the show seemed to spend so much time running on idle rather than advancing the story arc. They could have moved the series through to a satisfying conclusion in three seasons, but they didn’t.

Arg. I think after the final season of OITNB, I’m cancelling Netflix. They do this to shows that I like more often than I care for, and this just seems like an unexpected kick in the nuts to the viewers, cast, crew and writers.

Think we’re just gonna be an Amazon, Hulu, Disney+ family.

I think they keep track of exactly what all of their subscribers are watching. To a lot higher degree of specificity than Nielsen was ever able to provide.

I didn’t think the season ender was really a cliffhanger. I knew the series was ending when I watched it, and I thought it served as a reasonably satisfying series conclusion. Consider:

Joel is bitten, and now can be with his wife forever, ending that will he/won’t he thread.

The big bad guys are dead.

Abbey and Eric finally got together, and the bombing plot was wrapped up.

Gary found a new reason to live.

Their new real estate venture is kicked off and looks to be a success.

That’s good enough resolution for a sitcom for me. I wish there was another season, but I’m okay with the way it ended.

No, I’m sorry I need to know what happens when a Mr. Ball Legs invades the mind of a newly undead man. i mean, he could have all the knowledge we lack about this situation. I thought we were finally about to get some answers and then boom! Season over.

Won’t Joel have his own Mr. Ball Legs forthcoming? Will it force the other one out of his head? WE NEVER GET TO KNOW!
