Santa Monica/West L.A. Dopers: Need to find number of a taxi company

I’m looking for the number of a certain taxi company, and I can’t find them online. This is probably because their name is somewhat difficult to google. Possibly they might be in the phone book, but I honestly don’t have one. I haven’t taken in a phone book in years.

This company calls itself “Taxi! Taxi!”, and uses old Mercedes sedans and station wagons, painted silver.

Does anyone know the number of this company?

If you go to the Yahoo! Yellow Pages, click on the “change location” link in the upper right corner of the page, enter “santa monica, CA” and press “continue” you will be given a search page for that area. You can then either scroll through the preset links looking for taxi companies (below "Transportation on the lower right), or, in the searcdh window, enter “taxi! taxi!”. At that point, your Google™ problem bites you in the butt, because the search engine reduces the double word to “taxi,” loses the exclamation point, and gives you a list of every company with “taxi” in the name. However, below the dozen or so paid ads, an alphabetical list of taxi companies is displayed. There are only 25 of them, so on the second page there is an entry for “Taxi Taxi” with a link to this address, phone, and map:
Taxi Taxi
Address: 2418 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90403
Phone: (310) 828-2233
I’m sure tht there are other on-line yellow page sites, but I am just in the ancient habit of using Yahoo!'s.

And, of course, the reason a person would want to call “Taxi! Taxi!” is that they are the best taxi company in the area, and their cabs are generally late model Mercedes.

Also when I’ve used them, I’ve found the drivers usually speak fluent English and have a good knowledge of the region.

tomndebb, thanks for the info. I actually didn’t know about the Yahoo Yellow Pages, so I tried using AltaVista’s yellow pages and then also just plain googling, but to no avail. Maybe AltaVista just hasn’t been keeping up. You certainly never hear about them much.

I’ve always wanted to include a schtick on Fiesta Cab in a film. Like, when they pick you up, there’s like a party going on in the cab.
