Sarah Palin vs. the Anchorage Daily News, or Palling Around With The Facts?

So you’re saying what here? That joking about double-entendres of "doing " Palin (meaning both to screw her and to imitate her) is some sort of necessary witty remark at this point? The fact that we’re still passing off such crap as clever or appropriate tells me that her supporters have a very lean time finding positive things to say about her.

It’s become ironic.

I believe I’m far more in touch with reality than GOP Rep. Steve King of Iowa:

Italics mine.

Wait, so the guy voluntarily avoided using Obama’s middle name without being asked, then got pissed off when Obama uses it? Baghdad Bob was more in touch with reality than this guy.

Well at this point it’s just fun to watch you pontificate like a moron extrapolating all kinds of wild theories about people’s opinions of her. Don’t let that stop you though, keep making shit up, it’s funny to me at least.

RTFirefly I’ll concede that liberals are MOSTLY more in touch with conservatives, but not by the wide margin most liberals like to congratulate themselves for.

Name a “wild theory”; name an example of “my making shit up”–or else just keep making, but not substantiating, your own wild theories and your own made up shit.

Well the bit about me being a Palin supporter is one example.

This isn’t about self-congratulation. If the other side simply abandons the field of reality, you don’t get to pat yourself on the back for still being there after they’ve left.

Of what, fuckwit? The first page of this thread, which you entered to prevent all these horrible liberals from criticizing Palin,

is solid evidence that you identify yourself as a Palin supporter, as against liberals, and as a stirrer-up of tedious shit. Try convincing someone else how you’re politically neutral–you’re a simpleminded thug and a worthless troll.

Obama needs a middle name like Trick, Frick, Tag, or Mag like the Palins’ choice of names. It only makes sense that the anti-intellectual and anti-reason, Sarah Palin, would choose names devoid of any historical or cultural meaning for her children.

Using a person’s name as an ethnic pejorative is the most banal and insidious form of bigotry. These fucking incompetent bigots on the hill have to go. I am quickly losing faith in democracy.

pseudotriton ruber ruber Making fun of liberals =/= supporting Sarah Palin.

I give you the Senators - more than half the Senate GOP caucus - who voted against cloture on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.

Their position seems to be that if you allow people to sue for pay discrimination when they find out about it, rather than when the discrimination was initiated, some lawyers might benefit, so that would be bad.

There’s no point in even talking to people like this.

Making fun of liberals for the sake of being liberals? Sure, that’s an identifying characteristic of Palin supporters. You aren’t a liberal criticising other liberals, however you try to spin it. You’re a hater of liberals, of anyone on the other side of the political aisle from you, and don’t try again to convince me that you’re not a hardcore Republican, because everything you’ve written here on your politics is consistent with that characterization. You sometimes pose otherwise. (“I voted for Obama”–as if we could possibly verify or falsify that–is one such posing.) But you can’t show what you are as consistent as you have, and expect reasonable people to think there’s anything remotely ambiguous about that.

Especially when they vow to be “Obama’s worst nightmare” rather than doing anything constructive to get us out of the mess they did so much to create in the last eight years:

What was that about “Country First”, eh?

Wow, I nominate you moron of the month. Your logic circuits are failing.

Another good rejoinder. You’re improving.

You’re almost up to “dumb as dirt.”

I like to give the comments the exact credit they deserve.

Here I figured I’d play Sir Help-a-Tard and be magnanimous.

Here is a post where I state I am voting for Obama in October:

Here is the search where I searched my own posts from 3 months ago or more looking for the phrase, “voting for Obama”. I don’t know if this will be sufficient proof for you.

I mean after all I could’ve been on a long term campaign to fool people.
