I don’t know if anyone can help, but I once found a website where you could view satellite images with a great zoom. You could enter in an area and get it down to a two or three street view. I have been searching agian but the best I can find is images where the entire area is covered. Can anyone help?
There is a nifty one on Nvidia’s website called Earthviewer. It was pretty nifty but there are severe limitations as to where you can go down to the maximum zoom.
Was it www.terraserver.com ?
terraerver.com was the last one I went to, I could not figure out how to get the zoom to where I wanted it. I would say there is no such thing as the zoom I am going after, but I have seen it before.
Mapquest has one that you can zoom in and out.
If you want to shell out a little cash, you can go to Space Imaging and get full color 1 meter images, or multispectrum, or arial photos, etc. . . We use it all the time at the engineering firm where I work. The samples in the gallery show the quality.
There’s also http://terraserver.microsoft.com, which doesn’t seem to be related to terraserver.com.
Gah, the auto-parse crammed the comma into the link. Let’s try again: http://terraserver.microsoft.com
