Relocated to The Game Room.
Thank you.
Good-bye, Mr. Iwata! My life would be very different without Nintendo. I’d probably be getting more writing done. :smack:
He was so young, too… And he didn’t even get to go to E3 this year. He’s the kind of guy that would have really missed that.
I’m sure working with Nintendo gave him (and many, many others) lots of happy memories.
Grrrrggghgghhg. I really can’t think of anything more disgraceful besides maybe shuffling it over to the Pit. The fact that it has 2 replies in 5-hours is proof of that.
He was without a doubt one of the most important, genuine, and down-to-earth figures in the game industry, bar none. Truly a sad day
Really sad news
There is a thread over in the MPSIMS that is about the same subject. Maybe the two threads should be merged.
Check it here: Game Over for Nintendo president - Miscellaneous and Personal Stuff I Must Share - Straight Dope Message Board
I wonder what the future holds for the company.
I didn’t realize the move was requested by the OP, so I retract the complaint.
I got the two game forums mixed up. I didn’t think to look in MPSIMS for a thread… I wouldn’t mind them merging. But it’s up to the Mods.
I would love to know what people think.
It’s like… a part of Nintendo died with him to me. Nintendo’s presence at E3 this year sucked, but I have hope, (Super Mario Maker, The next Zelda, Some other Games, “Nintendo NX”, The themed aria in Universal Studio’s, Mobil games, Talks of being open to TV and Movie ideas, Ect…)
This could be a HUGE turning point for Nintendo, or the brand will suffer even more.
Not all that difficult. Put out a new Zelda, a new Mario, a new Metroid and a new Smash Bros. Only the order is up in the air.
