Sausage drone and the lost dog

This is amusing and cute.

That’s great.

And really, I think that drones are the best thing ever for search and rescue. Sure, you can’t lift a person out, but you can find them, give them messages and communication and water/food before boots on the ground can.

That sounds like a dog that REALLY didn’t like his new home.

I love stories like this, especially when creative technology is involved! :grinning:

The article cites a related story of how a German Shepherd rescue saved his owner’s life:

From the OP’s link:

"… as a last resort, why don’t we try tying a sausage to a drone?
“This was day three, she’d been there on the mud flats for two days,” Dennis told CNN.
“One of the neighbors who lived by the beach came out and said she’d cook them for us. She was under a lot of pressure, she must have felt the world was on her shoulders,” Dennis added. “But these sausages were obviously very tasty.”

My guess would be that a dog short on food for a couple of days would not be real fussy about how carefully sausages were cooked.

Manna from heaven! Woof!

The reunion between dog and rightful owner will make a heck of a meat cute one day.
