My brother insists that Kevin Costner has a cameo in Saving Private Ryan as the sniper who takes out Caparzo (Vin Diesel) in the French villa. I’ll admit that the sniper looks like Costner but I didn’t see his name in the credits. Is this an unbilled cameo by the great thespian?
The German sniper was played by Leos Stransky.

And Costner is not a great thespian.
Other people who you might consider as SPR cameos: Paul “Pig Vomit” Giamatti, Dennis Farina, Bryan Cranston (of Malcolm in the Middle), the late great Kathleen Byron, and Dale Dye, who oversaw the boot camp the main actors went through before filming.
John De Lancie (Q from Star Trek) was one of the voices in the death notice scene.
