So it just so happened that a Bing Maps car parked in our culdesac for a few minutes, allowing my friends and I to get into position and become famous…in a culdesac…on Bing Maps…
At any rate, how long until that pictures makes its way to Bing Maps proper?
I was wondering the same thing. I saw the Navteq map, waved at it, then saw it going the other way a few seconds later and waved again. Neither the Navteq website nor yahoo seem to have a streetview (in my area), but I assume one of them is gearing up to do it soon.
6 months later…still not up on the site (nor any of nearby area, so it’s not like they’re avoiding using just our picture).
Anyone know how long they usually take to upload these things?
If it’s anything like Google Maps it could be a year or more. From memory it was about 14 months from when I saw the Google car to when the imagery appeared, and there had been reports from elsewhere in the UK of Street View pictures starting to be collected months before that.
